Air Conditioning Question!!
I have a 96 cx with no a/c, how hard would it be to have it installed? is it something any shop can do?
what should the cost of this type of job be? is it worth it? cause it's getting unbearable driving around in traffic.
i did a search and found nothing specific.
TIA

it's expensive to have it installed at a shop, your best bet would be to find a used kit and install it yourself, that would be the cheapest way

Installing Air is actually not nearly as expensive as you all are making it out to be. Again, As this being my job... Complete Installation would run you at my place in California a total of $1495.00 + Uncle Sam!
That is including complete parts A/C Unit and Installation!
If thats too expensive for you then I guess you're gonna be sweating!
I do not want to spam **** here so if you are interested in having it done you can Instant Message me here or email me...

Dont not about $1495 for a complete a/c install. I work at an a/c shop and $1495 is about the price of a compressor job and only the compressor install. But it also depends on new or rebuilt, and the quality of parts you go with.

Re: (si_lee)
AC kit for my car BRAND NEW from honda is about $650. I'd pay someone around $200 as a side job to install it. I'm planning on buying it and installing myself before summer next year as i do not have the cash right now

Re: Air Conditioning Question!! (lowRIDAH)
I got quoted $800 something once... but that was to replace the compressor and flush the system and all that.
I'm still AC-less. :-\
