Air Conditioning Not Working Casuing Erratic Idle
Hey guys,
First let me give some background to the problem:
I have a 1993 Honda Civic DX 2 Door with the 1.5 engine. I got into an accident a couple months ago and had to get some body work done. I rear ended someone so I had to replace the radiator core support. The Radiator and condenser were okay but there were some wires cut so the body shop left it unconnected. I connected the wires with a butt splice and hooked them up. I also had a broken relay that I had to replace. The system was low on freon so I recharged it with the kit I bought at Pep Boys. So now when I turn the aircon on it doesn't blow cold and the engine will idle up and down. I think I have heard of a valve that connects the A/C system with the the radiator but I don't understand why It would make the idle jump all around. Roaming idle is from a leak in the vacuum loop isn't it? Also when I turn the heater on it does get hot. The fan in front of the condenser does not come on when I turn the A/C on, is it supposed to? Thanks for any help guys.
