air bag deactivation question *searched*
I'm trying to remove the heater core in my 92 eg. It's leaking all over the interior. The hanes manual said that I needed to deactivate the airbag before attempting this. I am a noob and haven't worked on cars much.
Do you have any tips for this?
Do I have to deactivate the airbag or can I just go ahead with removing the heater core?
thanx for any help

i just installed a quick release on my car last weekend.
disconnect the battery, pump the brakes, wait a few minutes.
if you really want to dissable the system, remove steering cover, follow the yellow SRS lines to the bottom of the steering wheel, find the clip, and un plug it.
it would be easier just to remove the whole airbag with 2 star screws.
