Aftermarket Tachometer setup... Looking for ideas and pics.
Im getting tired of my sloppy tach on my EX/SI cluster and starting to look into aftermarket solutions. Nothing RICE but I just need something accurate. Whats a good place to start??? What are reputable makers and I am also looking for some good mounting solutions.

Autolite is a good manu, I'd probably buy from them if I was to buy a tach.
Good locations on a 5th gen are kinda hard IMO b/c of the way the dash is (not flat).
I've seen people buy the smaller ones and use an A-Pillar gauge - or a smaller (or larger) one on top of the steering column, or in that recess at the bottom of the A pillar, mounted on an angle off the cluster cut-out.

Yeah just be careful.
I have an aftermarket tach in place right now that looks like it should be worn around the neck with a chain. *cringe* I really need to fix my stock tach.

Im thinking of mounting it on the top of the steering wheel column. Ive got an aftermarket wheel so Ill have to see how visible it is before I bolt it down.
