Can a aftermarket in dash tach be put in place of stock tach?
I was wondering if I removed the stock tach out of a 92-95 ex cluster and cut room out for a aftermarket gauge(autometer Nexus 3 3/8), would the rest of the stock cluster work? I would like to have the tach sitting flush with the remaining stock gauges behind the clear plastic. I don't want a big tach on my dash but I do want a accurate tach, something low key. I like the fact I can program my redline to turn the gauge face red so that is the reason for choosing the Nexus line.

Not that thread. I'm not a fan of custom mods like that which aren't clean. RTV sealant? C'mon.
