$3 disposable metal drill brush from Sears (takes the place of a drill bit) ... it takes some of the paint off, but then it's a race car, so it doesn't matter, right?

Thats why people use dry ice, so there wont be this problem. Try dry ice maybe.

Use a generous amount of WD-40 and slowly (but surely) it'll disintegrate the leftover adhesive from the tar. If you use any other stronger chemical, it might strip away your primer, which will inhibit rust in those areas.

gasoline works GREAT!!!!!!

A leaking line on a 2 gal. fuel cell full of race gas stripped that tar RIGHT NOW!

BTW car was running a direct port NOS setup using a seperate fuel supply with the NOS enrichment.

I just ripped it off, no dry ice needed.
what did you use to take it off???
i got just the tar patches in the front off,
as they are thicker in the front and come off
easier in chunks using a flat head/chisle....

but the tar under the seats, back, and trunk
is a thinner layer harder to get a gipr of and
doesn't come off as easy,...i know dry ice is
the solution, but just wondering what you used?

Are you talking about the adhesive from the tar
Or the seam sealer?
