One of the holes that a fuel rail stud goes into on my aebs is stripped out pretty bad. LIke i can take the stud and slide it in and out of the hole. ( i know , thats what she said). Whats the best way to repair this do u guys think? helicoil? tack weld the stud in there? jb weld ?

are you talking about the three studs that hold the fuel rail to the manifold?

how old is it?
i bought one a few years ago and i had the bolts holding on the iacv fall out on the freeway. i lost my brakes, aebs gave me a new one. they said there might have been something wrong with the cast.

as for your problem, do you need all three holding on the fuel rail?

This mani is pretty old, i've had it for at least 4 years... Most of the thread on this thing were junk, for the fuel rail studs and for the throttle body. I didnt complain for the price. But putting new injectors in i realized how hacked up it was with the fuel rail. I dont wanna run just 2 out of the 3 studs, especially an outside one being missing

ok here is my idea go find the next size bigger bolt drill and tap to size then poof like magic new threds.that is gonna be the only way to fix this problem for good

I would just put a helicoil in it.

yeah i was suprised by how cheap the quality was, the manifold increased power according to my butt dyno, looked nice. i have the non chrome one.

They make offset studs that are say 6mm/7 or 8mm bolt. I don't remember exactly were they sell them but I think it was ace.

ah cool, i guess thatd be something that would work too, just sorta crank the 8mm end down in there, or something slightly bigger than it was. then i'll still have the right size up top for the fuel rail...
