adjusting new steering wheel??
So I got in an accident with my civic and I bent the control arm, broke a rim, messed up an axle, and bent a steering rod, and messed up my fender. All cause it was icy out and there was a curb in my way I went to get it fixed and the frame ended up being bent So I had to get it alligned which = more $$$ out of my pocket and my parents wanted me to pay for it all since it was my fault. It was $850 and now the steering wheel is turned to the left about a 1/5 of a turn cause when it was alligned the stuff so bent they couldn't get the wheel straight and they told me it would be another $100-$150 to fix it in the steering box. **** that I said and drove off. Now it bothers me that wheel is crooked and I was wondering if I could buy a grant or momo wheel and install it and just turn it clockwise when bolting it on to that five bolt hub. If I can, my steering wheel will be straight(er) and I will get rid is the mammoth 15 inch school bus wheel. Also I think it will make the car "feel" more responsive and with me being 6'2" I could get in and out without smashing my knee all the time. I was thinking of getting this wheel

if the steering wheel is off and it does not pull then what you can do is.
loosen the locking nut on the tie rods. and turno the inner so the wheel move towards the side wheer the whell is off. example. if your wheel is off to the left about an 10 degrees. turn turn both side of the tie rods 10 degrees and tighten the locking nut down. do it until you have it in the middle

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the steering. Its alligned perfectly and there is no pulling to one side. I'd really like a new steering wheel anyways and it would be like killing two birds with one stone. It isn't hurting anything having the wheel like this, right? BTW my mechanic already tried the tie rod adjustment and it obviuosly didn't work.

you dont have to buy a race wheel to do that. just make your wheels straight and then take out the key to lock the steering column.. take off your wheel and turn it till it looks straight and put it back on..
