AC problems
My AC is not blowing cold air.
tried to refill it up with a bottle of freon from Autozone and after a while it started to make a squealing sound so we stop charging it.
While driving me and my friends turn on the AC, and after a while it made a squealing sound.
Anyone else have the same problem? and how you fix it or did you just live with it?

Re: AC problems
In your first post, you MUST provide all pertinent information about your car and engine. Failure to do so may result in thread closure.
---------------
You need to have the refrigerant recovered and the system evacuated and recharged with the proper weight of refrigerant. Then hook up a manifold gauge set to read the low and high side pressures, which are required to diagnose the problem.
Does the condenser fan run?

Re: AC problems
I did this too and my car was driving a little off ( 99 civic dx)
Turns out I put a little too much freon into the system.. since its illegal to evacuate into the atmosphere, youll prob have to go get it evacuated and refilled..
you could take a flat head screw driver on low pressure needle and press it down BUT 3 things here.. #1 its illegal .. #2 horrible for enviornment... #3 if that freon cloud hits you in the face it can mess you up like in a hurtful way.
I paid like $26 man and they sucked it into a machine then pumped back in proper PSI and presto car was driving normal again and no sqweakkkkkkk

Re: AC problems
My A/C is also not blowing cold due to the compressor not coming on.
Are your lights coming on on the climate control unit itself?
If not, I've read that if the dash gets too hot the solder on the chipboard acts up and won't send the signal to turn the compressor on.
Something to consider...
