Default about to get a ls motor for my hatch

I just got my hb a few weeks ago my first honda . My friend is gettin rid of his ls motor for a gsr one and is going to give me the ls for free. My question is what would be a good tranny for it the ls one or would a gsr or b16 tranny work better. and what are some ideas for the engine bsides i/h/e i was thinking maybe cams or something any advice would be appreciated , thank you

GSR or b16 tranny would be nice for that engine. As far as the rest, turbo would be cool. It all depends on your budget. And SEARCH, there is alot of info on this subject here.

ya thanks i think turbo is out of the question right now i have to worry about the crappy dx bakes and suspension right now nothing big YET!!!!

Oh yeah, suspension and brakes would be a good starting point since you'll already have the engine.

yeah by the time i get the engine in ishould have all the suspen. & brakes done .
if i got a itr tranny would it be worth the money or should i stick wit gsr b16

Personally I wouldn't bother spending the extra money for an ITR tranny, but that's just me. My gf's car has an LS engine in a 6th gen with a GSR tranny and the gears are plenty short.

tibbor, intake about 100 header about 300 exhaust about 300
with that cash, you know what, get a vtec head on it and be a low budget racer but not safe for those old *** pistons, honed the block and get some CTR .25 over pistons, then slap your b16 head on
and no dont go with a ITR tranny, stick with a b16 tranny make sure you get quaife equip but its alot easyer to break the b16 tranny and a clutch would go good with that setup if you have a eg best setup u can get make sure you run the P28 ecu rechipp
