a3 crank in b8 w/b8 rods???
So I found a chart that showed the rod journal size and main journal size for both the a3 and b8 and there the same... a3 has the 86.5 stroke and b8 with 84.5 stroke. So I just wanna find out if this is indeed true, the chart being correct that is... and that I can swap in the a3 crank...???

Re: a3 crank in b8 w/b8 rods???
D15A2-3, D15A1 Rod journal size 1.653", main journal size 1.771".
D15B1-8*Rod journal diameter 1.653", main journal diameter 1.771".
What is the neck diameter? One had a .944" and the other .865" but I believe the a1 was .865" and a2-3 was .944" which is what the b8 is...
So if these #'s are correct then I should be able to swap in the a3 crank in my b8 block w/rods...??? Right...

If you can verify that the spacing between cylinders is the same between the two then it might be possible. I can't say 100% since I've never touched an older style D-Series engine.
