Default 99 EM1 makes grinding noise from rt rear>

It makes a constant squeaking/grinding noise when moving and stops when car is stopped. WHen car is taking off it sounds like a slow clicking then it gets faster when car goes faster, making the squeaking sound. It doesnt go away or stop when the brakes are applied.
Warped rotor or rear wheel bearing gone bad??

It might be pads or a dust shield about 100 million other things.

It would be quicker to jack up the car, take off the wheel, spin the hub and look for yourself than posting this very very vague problem. You're going to have to jack it up or take it somewhere to have it fixed anyway...why even post until you can be more specific?

Not trying to be harsh...but how is someone going to solve your particular issue from behind a computer without ever looking at your car?

Because certain components make specific noises/sounds when they are going bad. I was being specific by narrowing down to 2 components the rotor or wheel bearing. Both make similiar sounds when going bad.........

Not trying to be harsh............
If your such a know it all then what are symptoms/noises of a bad wheel bearing and same for a warped rotor?????????

Warped rotor? That makes a pulsating brake pedal and NOT a grinding noise. This can sometimes be verfied by LOOKING at the rotor. Something I can't do from Illinois.

Bad wheel bearing? Makes a rumbling noise usually. Or looseness is FELT in the affected wheel. I can't feel anything or hear anything from behind a computer.

BTW, my EM1 is making a squeaking sound coming from the left front. Tell me what it is!!!

Hint: I'm lying!! But even if I wasn't it'd be easier for me to get under the car and look instead of posting a useless thread since you won't be able to help me with the vague information either.

If you're going to work on it yourself, you might as well get under and take a look.

If you're inept at working on it yourself, you're going to take it to a shop and they're going to look at it anyway.

Either way...no point in posting a very vague question.

I was trying to be nice about it at first.
