Default 99 Ek civic 1.4 - Will my current tranny work with a B16 engine swap?

i have a 1.4 99 ek and would like to put the b16 into it, just wanted to know if my gearbox will fit straight on? also all bits and bobs? basically i need someone who has done the same swap to tell me what to do! any help appreciated

No it won't bud and even if it did the ratios would be ****...there bad enough beyond 3rd in the 1.4 as it is. At least as far as I know that's the case

so i'll need need the gearbox, but i'll be able to use the same loom etc? sorry i don't know a lot about engines etc, just need to know what to buy!

u need any b-series tranny b18, b16, gsr or type r, etc. any tranny from a b-series engine, for a ek u need a 94-01 integra tranny or 99-00 civic si only.

Sorry missed the second part of the question...The ECU will need to be changed as it's there's not vtec to start with in a 1.4 but as well as that mounts, the loom if you want to make it easier etc.

engine
gearbox
loom
and mounts?

radiator etc all the same?

The radiator will work, you just will need to use different clamps on the radiator side.

You will also need, b series axles, shift linkage.

You can use your orginal harness if, you add all the proper wires... depending on the ecu you get you may need to get a jumper harness as well.
