98 civic ex/h23 h22 head motor - Can't put transmission in gear
i got a 98 civic ex with a h23 h22 head motor in it
lately ive been having alot of problems with it
as far as me shifting in it
this only happens sometimes idk maybe once it gets warmed up idk
anyways what wrong with it is that sometimes after using it for a while
i cant put it into gear
same happens when im sitting in traffic
right now i got a aftermarket ACT clutch 6 puck
has anyone had this happen to them??
after letting the car completely cool off i can get it back in gear normally and everything
idk whats wrong with it but its really starting to make me mad lol
anyways if anyone can help o tell me what is good to check and go from there

p.s the clutch is faily new if anything it has around 2,000 miles in it was bought new
could maybe possibly the clutch be going out o be bad??

im pretty sure i broke it in for 100 miles lol
would not breaking the clutch in properly cause this problem??

It could cause alot of problems, You have to let your flywheel and clutch disk get to know each other for a while. On average I let my clutchs break in for 500 miles at a minimum before I even get into it. meaning no launches, no dumping the clutch for burn outs, and no redline runs lol. It just sounds to be the clutch is having grip problems. did you also get the flywheel resurfaced?

hhmmm thats weird i have never broken in a clutch until this one
and thats cuz my girl babied the car while i was in mexico
also yeah i got the flywheel resurfaced prior to the new clutch going in
and grip problems as in how if you could please elaborate more on this??

proly the cheapest/ quickest thing you could do would be bleed the clutch to make sure it doesnt have air bubbles trapped in it. theres also a possibility that the clutch slave cylinder or master cyl is going bad

whats the best way to see if the slave cylinder is good??
and i bled the clutch already so thats good
fluids are good as well
