i'm trying to do it because i an throwing the infamous p0133 and i've replaced the o2 sensor 3 times now and its still doing it. i'm not having any luck finding a 96-98 close to me and i knew someone with a 99

i spent 91 bucks from carquest for a bosch o2 look just like the one i pulled off..and i tried two of my buddies universal all with out any luck!

ya i do realiz all that ****..i'm not a complete moron...i pulled the code up on my scanner its the o2 slow response bank 1 ....implying before the cat...and yes i did pull my positive on my battery to clear the code and it came back on 2 days later.

usually you unplug the negative terminal to reset ecu, but if it work for you than it works. I would try to fool the ecu with the spark plug fouler trick. If that doesn't work, you might be reading the code wrong. It could be your cat converter

Bank 1 means on the side of cylinder 1. That is only relevent to RWD V-engines. It should say Bank _, Sensor _ (1 or 2). The Sensor number tells you which o2 sensor to replace.
