99 civic si engine code P0505(idle control system). ??? need help
Just bought a 99 civic si 2 weeks ago. It was driving fine until it threw engine code P0505(idle control system). When the car is idling, rpm sits at 800 then it would bounces between 800 to 1500. When its reved at low rpm it bogs/hesitates. Then when i take off it also bogs and hesitate! I turn off the car and it goes away but it'll start doing it again. Its driving me crazy!!!

sounds like the IACV (idle air control valve). Search for IACV on here there's tons of writeups for cleaning and repairing it
