99-00 Distributor on a 96-98 Engine?
I have a 2000 civic dx hatchback with a d16y7 and the ex 5 spd transmission. The previous owner did an auto to manual swap, but used a obd2a ecu and engine harness. I have the proper obd2b ecu and engine harness, but I know the distributor that's on the car now is for obd2a.
What I wish to know is, are all d16 distributors interchangeable? Can I put a 99-00 distributor on my current y7 despite it having a 96-98 distributor?

the dizzys can interchange, its just that the plugs are different between obd2a and obd2b but you can cut and splice wires with the proper wiring diagram

Ok what do I need to do then? Do I need to find a obd2b plug to splice into the distributor that's on the car now? Change the dizzy, the whole distributor, or what? I'm sorry, never done this before so I'm still confused.
