okay this is gonna be a long one but i need help cuz vie hit a wall.

MOTOR: D16y8 99-00 civic EX

i was driving my car and all of a sudden it lost some power and began to sputter/bog, with a loud ticking and CEL was blinking. i was able to rule out a blown motor and head gasket. got home and checked the code. it ran a 73 and 74. which means misfire in cyln 3 and 4 to what i was able to find. so heres what i did to try and correct this

-newcap and rotor
-new spark plugs
-new spark plug wires
-valve adjustment

after all of those were done,and code was cleared, it was a tiny tad better but still pulling code 73 and 74. still had a clicking sound but not as loud as before.

then we did a fuel injection test. let the car run and unplugged each fuel injector one by one. when 1,2,4 are unplugged car sounds like it wants to shut off. when 3 is unplugged, there is no change at all. then we switched plug 1 and 3 to see if the code would switch to a code 71 being that we switched the "bad injector" to a diffent spot. code was cleared again, and still the CEL gave me a 73 code. sounds like i just solved my own problem. yet i just replaced the injectors back in May. is it possible that the fuel rail could be lazy?

i also heard that the ECU could need to be reflashed or just reseted cuz the ECU could be sending wrong signals to that injector.

is there anything else that could cause this problem and make that damn 73 code come up.

the car can still runs, but at a idle and a low RPM between idle and 3500 rpm its a rough, shaky drive. after that, its smoother.
