Default 98 LX, no spark

This is a 98 LX auto. We had to push the car into the driveway and forgot to take the key out. The key was left in the ON position when I reconnected the battery. There was some spark when the negative wire went on.

I checked all fuses and everything looks ok.

Now I can't get spark on any cylinder during cranking.

I checked ignition power at the distributor pin #10 and I'm getting battery voltage.

I measured resistance in the ignition coil per the FSM and the A-B is 5-6 ohms, which is really high compared to the .6-.7 ohm in the FSM. Resistance across the A and the discharge lead is 9K ohms, which is lower than the 12-19k ohms in the FSM.

I think my coil is fried, but I'm going to check pin 20 on the ECU and some others in the distributor per the FSM.

I checked the main relay and it seems ok. The fuel pump primes and all injectors have power.

ECU has no code and my AutoTap shows all sensors operating within parameters.

If anyone has any other suggestion I would appreciate it as well before I swap out the coil.

Replace the coil. That's what your test result is telling you to do.

I just check pin 1 on the distributor, pin 20 on the ECU for the ignition signal. The FSM says I should be getting battery voltage with the key ON, but I'm not getting anything.

I also check for short to ground and there's no continuity ground on this wire.

Thoughts?

I did what you said and replaced the ignition coil. It fired right up.

Thank you for the help.
