98 ek hatch brake upgrade
ok so im building this hatch for daily driven track purposes and i want to upgrade the brakes but stay 4x100. im wondering what would be some good options that are reasonable. my buddy had some acura legend 2 piston calipers and prelude vtec rotors redrilled to 4x100 but im not sure how to make that set up work with the caliper brackets. sooo any info on that or ideas about some other options would be great

You can do ITR brakes with 11.1 rotors, and the ITR caliper. You can also do the S2k brakes.
You may need to switch the knuckles to the EX/SI
Or you could simply do the EX/SI brakes with good set of rotors, and aggressive pads.

Or you can try the combo I just found out about. Mini Cooper Rotors and calipers for a Legend (GS). You'll still have to upgrade the knuckles.

well guy just told me that he put gsr front and rear brakes on the car. on the cooper set up, how would you get the caliper to fit on the bracket? thats the prob i was running into with the prelude vtec rotors. i love the way my roomates car stopped. i plan on adding stainless lines but i want the extra stopping power lol

Re: 98 ek hatch brake upgrade
pretty good write up. i also found one on super honda about the pros and cons of doing the legend upgrade. so im probably gonna lean more towards the accord wagon calipers and maybe the rotors as well just re-drill them? or any other options on rotors

My plan is EX/SI brakes brembo rotors, Hawk HPS pads front/rear. With the EX/SI mc.
I think my buddy had legend calipers, and if I am remember correctly he was constantly locking them up. He now has ITR brakes front/rear, re drilled rotors to 4x100. He said he loves them.
