98 EK CTR Rear LCA's
Anyone have a web site where I can buy rear CTR LCA's? I have a full ITR suspension but, as you all know, the rears require the different design LCA.

Dooh I think I PM'd you by accident.
I was under the impression the CTR like the Type-R used the oddball lower shock mount not the saddle style lower shock mount that the Teg and Civic uses. I also have read that the stock Type-R LCA is too short for an EK. Thus I'm looking for a CTR LCA which supposedly uses the same mount as the R but, is the proper length for the EK.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

you are correct that the ITR rear LCAs are to short for the ek subframe..so you can use any OEM or aftermarket ek rear LCA(trailing arm) with the ITR suspension

I agree - the information was wrong. After wading through a bunch of Japanese documentation on Tein's site. Turns out the EK9 and EK4 have the same setup. Only difference being the spring rate and maybe the shocks.
Hmm. So what I'm hearing is that there's no way to bolt of a stock ITR rear spring/shock cartridge onto and EK? It that correct?

You are indeed correct. You could bolt on a CTR spring/shock combo directly.
As for LCA's, 99-00 units will do you just fine.

but i believe the design of the LCA is different actually.. Password JDM had a pic of it (i dont know if they still do). it looks as if it went through the same casting process as EGs and DCs.. while normal EK LCAs look as if they were stamped out of a sheet of metal.

Well, the rear on the ITR/EK is just stamped steel. The LCA and the trailing arm are stamped as is the upper control arm. The only question really was whether the CTR and the ITR both used the unusual LCA where the shock mounted inside the LCA instead of a saddle OVER the LCA.
From the research and discusson it looks as if the CTR and regular EK (EK4 I think) use the same "over the LCA saddle" design. That means I can't use my ITR rear suspension though I can use the fronts. Now I CAN hook up with a set of Koni's and use the stock ITR springs if I want to. Since the EK is 2-300 Lb's lighter than the R, I'll effectively have a higher spring rate which I like.
Also means I have a couple useless ITR LCA's coming to me in the mail.

Plenty of EG/DC owners will be interested in them. You'll have no preoblem unloading them.
