Default 98 civic hatch main relay no power

Alright guys im having an issue with my main relay getting power. Heres everything i know and have found out. Started a fee months ago where the car wouldnt start then i messed around with the in cabin fuse panal and it started and when this happened i didnt hear my main relay click.or pump prime and while messing with the panal it heard it all happen like it should. Then after a fee more times of this happening it started getting more frequent and i thought it was a relay fuse so i replaced it and still happened then yesterday i was messing around and i found out that if i jiggle the whole box i would here the relay click and pump prime leaving me to believe there is a lose wire in the fuse box that feeds the main relay... my questions are does anyone have a diagram of the rear view of that fuse box and which wires feed the main relay and if it would be easier running a power switch to the main relay... any help would be great.

When the fuel pump won't prime, if you unplug the main relay, does the terminal for the fuse 13 wire (pin 5) in the connector have battery voltage to body ground with the key in ON(II)? Does the terminal for the fuse 44 wire (pin 7) in the connector also have battery voltage?

You can buy a digital multimeter for $4 from Harbor Freight Tools.

Did you look at the diagram? Those two fuses obviously supply voltage to the main relay.

I looked at the diagram but all it showed was the leads going to the fuse box not which fuse and thanks on the multimeter ill hit them up tomorrow if its a lose wire in one of those fuses what would you suggest to do to fix it

You'll find fuse box diagrams in the FAQs sticky.

Before you ask about how to fix the problem, you first need to identify it. Get the multimeter and do the voltage tests.

Fuse 44 is in the hood fuse box.
  1. Set multimeter to measure DC voltage
  2. Touch red meter probe to connector terminal
  3. Touch black meter probe to ground (metal frame under dash or (-) battery post)

Thank you again your help is much appreciated but i am feeling that the problem is going to be in the wire on fuse 13 since when i move that fuse panal the connection is complete and i hear the pump turn on

So here is an update hooked up a fuse multimeter to fuse 13 and with it in was the first time in a week car turned over first time trying... the meter read 2.5 with the car running took it out put the fuse back in nice and tight turned over and took on test drive no problem...so conclusion right now thinking the fuse was not set properly wiggled around all connectors while car was running and nothing so hopefully this stays and the problem is gone...

If it's not priming then check if ecu is getting power, check ecu fuse under hood fuse box, I had same problem turned out to be my underhood fuse box was corroded which powers up ecu

Also if you can get your main relay out... use a flat screwdriver and pry out the circuit board and look for cracked solder joints.
