Default 98 Civic

I have a 98 civic i was wondering if you think it would be worth putting a B16 in it and a rough cost on it.

put a b16 in, then swap the bottom end later on. people dont realize that buying a b16 swap is definately smart. reasoning behind my theory:

you get the head, tranny, and all nesessary parts for cheap. then when you want, swap that gs-r/type-r bottom in with a nice set of pistons and you're good to go. then once you blow that **** up, you have a left over b16 bottom to run on until it gets fixed. well, unless you dont care and like to spend a lot of money for no reason at all.

just my .02

Depends on which B16 you get, All have different prices. Yo ucould find a regulad si motor for around 2k+ then you need mounts, belts, gaskets, fluids, spark plugs/wires, might/might not come with dizzy, ac (if you want) , might not have tranny....all depends. And with you just asking thins question...I'm GUESSING (just a wild one) that you have no clue on how to do a swap for a honda. So it would be a bitch for the cost for labor on getting it installed. Say a 2 day install...shop cost 60$per hour. 8 hours in a day...60$ each hour...about 960 for labor...plus or minus. PRoBaBly plus. lol
Now if you were going to be doing the swap yourself...and knew how ....get the b16. For now stick with your D16y8/7 ...search search search.....save some money...
