97 honda civic dx a/c question
Where should properly filled be on here??
I have a 97 honda civic dx and sometimes when my a/c compressor kicks on and off it bogs the motor down a noticable amount. I put a gauge on it from advance auto and it showed it in the green at over 25 oz i believe. I read it shoudlnt be more then 22oz?? Should i take it some where so they can make sure it is not over filled?? Or is it low??

Re: 97 honda civic dx a/c question
Yes..bring to a mechanic so he can test it with proper HVAC gauges that read high and low side independently. Typically the load created by engaging compressor raises idle a couple hundred rpm's. Have mechanic or auto parts store check alternator output with ac on and off. If the a/c system is overcharged it can cause the compressor to cycle on too frequently.
