97 Civic EX stumbling/loss of power in low RPM's.. help.. tried everything
Well I have done just about everything to fix this.. gone to a local dealership and they told me if my cars not throwing any codes they cant do anything.. so my last hope if you guys.. thanks if you can help or shed any light on this...
i have changed:
gas tank (due to rust)
fuel filter
plugs
wires
distributor cap
rotor
timing belt
oil
water pump
fuel injector cleaner like a ****
high grade gas.. even used low grade..even used mid grade
i did all this it doesnt matter.. below 3000 rpm when the car is fully warm is bogs down and is a major slug.. it stumbles and studders up to 3000 where from there it takes off fine or a little better...
when the car is totally cold in the morning time the car runs just fine.. rev's through the rpm's through every gear like no problem.. then when it warms up it turns into a major slug...
i went to the dealership and told the guy that im only getting around 260 miles to a full tank and he told me i was "full of ****" he said if its not throwing a code then nothings wrong and i need to recalculate my stuff.. so ..PLEASE HELP?!

Is the car stock or does it have mods, and if so what are they. I would stick with low grade gas on a stock d16y8. I have heard higher grades on a stock Civic could even make you loose MPG? (not sure tho).

so you're saying that when the car goes into open loop it bogs down under 3k, What about the o2(if you have a test part), Plus check for broken wires connecting to the distributor, If you have access to a fuel gauge, check the fuel pressure when the car bogs down and see if its losing any(presure). Just some ideas
