37 MPG?!?! Is my formula correct?
A\B=C
A=293 miles driven after filling
B= 7.893 gallons on next refill
C=37.1215
I am about to crest 242,000 miles on the D15B7 and I just couldnt beleive it.

That's close to 700km on a full 45 liter tank.
The most I have done was 660km on a near empty tank, used about 43 liter I believe. Mixture of highway and city driving.
Good stuff.

Its about 50\50
And yes I for the most part have a heavy foot. 80% of my commute is uphill both ways too. 90-100 miles a day.

I wish my D15B7 had that mileage. I'm 100,000 less miles than you are. I max at 28 MPG. Timing, cat, o2, and air filter are shot. Might be the reason.

Re: (Deemeetree)
I improved mine from 36 to 38mpg just by fixing the timing and new distributor/rotor. Switching to Honda PCV valve didnt' change mileage at all but runs smoother than with the 3rd party PCV valve. I'm going to change the spark plug wires in a few weeks (they're old too!). Eventually I'll replace the O2 sensor since I never have. It seemed pretty clean when i had to open the downpipe/manifold connection to change the oilpan gasket. I always keep the oil up too with 10W30 synthetic blend. It eats alot of oil right now.
