Default 97 civic engine swap

alright, im leaving this one up to the insight of handa-tech.com members, im sick and tired of the sohc 1.6 vtec motor i have in the civic now, im sick of the 4- banger, so this makes me not want to get a b series or a 22 or anything. im just sick and tired of getting snatched off in 3rd gear.....so, im lookin for a 6 cyl. ive been looking alot into the cl 3.2 6 cyl,j33 i think, but i want to know what you guys think i should slam in this bad boi, and if anyone has some insight on which swaps a going to work with little hassle. just let me know what yal think...thanks

you really don't need a j series (v6) to get some impressive power. besides, that would be a VERY costly swap. upgrade to higher displacement (b18,b20,k20,h22,k24) or just boost the thing. do your research before you buy anything

You have more potential with the 4 banger than with the v6.

Definitely! The aftermarket for the J series isnt a PIECE of what the B series has. And like someone said above me, the swap you're talking about will be VERY expensive. Defintely over the "worth it" mark in my opinion.

Good luck to you!
