96 ITR suspension (4x114.3)
I am thinking about buying this suspension, but I am not sure if I can upgrade to the large 11" discs with this setup? Is it possible to use the prelude disks and prelude or ITR calipers on this setup??? What modifications need to be done?
Thanks,
Rafal

If that doesn't answer any questions you have nothing will.

Re: 96 ITR suspension (Ricey McRicerton)
Given that I just put full 96 jdm itr suspension assemblies and hubs on my jdm eg6 a couple of days ago... i will summarise for you. There are too many people on the previously mentioned post talking from theoretical knowledge and not from real world experience.
When using 4x114.3 hubs, you can use the 92-96 vtec prelude calipers and 282mm vtec prelude discs, but you will need a 2-3mm washer on for the caliper bracket.
If you plan on using the 96 jdm itr wheels, you'll need to shave a bit off the caliper bracket and most likely the calipers (although I didn't have to, but some people have said they needed to), or run a spacer, possibly up to 5mm, for wheel - brake clearance.

Re: 96 ITR suspension (Ricey McRicerton)
The rear discs don't do enough work to justify a change.
I'm running 96 rear discs, with the factory eg6 rear caliper. The rear calipers appear to be identical between all DC2/DB8/EG rear disc equipped cars.
Given that I am still running the stock eg6 7/8 master cylinder, i don't seem to be pushing enough fluid around, and the rears seem to come on slightly prior to the fronts. I have a 3040 prop valve that I wanted to put on, but this may make the bias even less favourable.
I'm thinking of upgrading to the dc2 15/16 m/c in the next few weeks... hopefully this will resolve the pressure issues. A 1 inch m/c would be ideal, but I can't be bothered bending lines etc, as they don't seem to have the same lines coming in.

No no, I've got the 4x114.3 swap as well, and was wondering what you do about getting replacement disks.
I can vouch for the fact that the regular teg uses the same calipers as the JDM ITR 4 lug, as I've replaced mine before.

I live in New Zealand. 90% of the cars on our streets are used japanese imports, meaning a proliference of jdm itrs. This makes getting parts easy, plus it means the dealers stock parts to suit them.
Best place to get 96 itr brake parts for me is the Honda dealer, or a cheaper and more popular solution, from the wreckers.

Only problem with that for us guys in the USA is that the US dealerships can't get parts from the 96 R, and since there are no other cars that we get here in the states that use the same rear rotors we're kinda stuck.
