Default 96 civic lx motor swaps

i just bought a 96 honda civic lx. Its a automatic. I wannt to know what motor swaps out there that i can put in this car. I want to leave it auto, but just want to add a lil more power to the car. Im not trying to make it fast just more hp than it has now(106hp).
Like for example would it be able to put a integra ls non-vtec(140hp) motor in there or
B20z(146hp) motor from crv. Any advice would help me out.

Thanks

if your going to leave it a auto still, theres nothing much you can do unless you have alot of money to burn for a swap. the swap itself will be a little cheaper than your usual manual swaps, but it is really confusing to swap by yourself, trust me ive done a couple auto swaps with jdm b18 and jdm b16 and its not worth it unless you got money. otherwise you can just buy your basic bolt on stuff...

you could boost it like 7 psi on stock internals, it all depends how healthy the engine is, and still keep it auto.

About all you can do is swap in a D16Y8. Swapping to a manual and a B-series honestly makes a lot more sense.

im currently working on an auto B swap on an EK civic chassis, it seems it can be done, just of course its not your normal swap, a lot of odds and end parts have to be used to make everything work, and most likely a custom tranny top and rear brackets might have to be fabbed up. im just beginning work on the car so dont have all the details done as of yet.

good luck with that chameleon. Id like to see exactly everything it takes to have a auto B series swap in the EK chassis.

Theres a lot more to it than that. You need to notch the frame rail, fab up custom mounts, and then try to find some way to rig up the tranny so it shifts right. Coming up with an ECU/TCU combination that works is next to impossible with the exception of an automatic LS, which is at least theoratically possible with a ton of wiring. Unless you're missing a leg or something its just not worth doing.
