I just recently changed my lights out to clear, I now have a clear reflector and clear turn signal bulbs. The 99-00 honda civics come in both clear and amber bulbs at Auto stores while the 96-98 front turn signals come only in clear. I have yet to locate any amber ones beyond online stores, looking for something asap instead of having to order them and wait.

What I am interested in knowing is are the 96-98 front turn signals the same as the 99-00 even though the part numbers are different. From eyesight the bulbs are completey the same even the notches on the copper casing of the bulbs. Could anyone tell me if these are the same bulbs, so I can get my amber back instead of light white/bright orange turn signals

I believe the numbers are 1157NA for 99-00 and
3946 for 96-98

*differences in 96-98 to 99-00 in front turn signals

*need amber bulbs to put in without messing with reflector

*can I buy the ones for the 99-00 civics and install, no sense in wasting money

*anyone have both years or friends they want to try and switch with for a second to check?
