now they only thing i can think of is that the 99-00 taillights for the hb have a orange reflector alerday inside since i cant find the amber bulbs, but yet my 99-00 taillights dont have that reflector.

i've been in your situation before. the reason honda does not have amber bulbs for your style bulbs is because the 96-98 style plug is different than the 99-00.

the 99-00 OEM bulbs are amber, but they are connected differently. so in order to get an amber 96-98 style bulb.. just to go some import accessory shop and they should have it.

Just pull your clear bulb and take it to the autoparts store. match it to one there and your good to go. I did the same thing for my front turn signals. When I got my hatch, it had fuggin blue turn signals with the orange reflector taken out.

i did the same thing, you have to get apc bulbs, they sell an amber bulbs for the rear, they look oem so dont worry about any neon or anything like that, go to your local car parts store, like kragen or pep boys, and look in the apc section it will be in there with all of that crap, i think they are like 5 bucks or something.
