95 Hatch Project Beginnings

95 Hatch Project Beginnings
I bought this from a co-worker for $1400. He bought it brand new. It has 140k on it and has cold ac. 5 speed, 70 hp motor. I don't know much about Honda's, but I am very excited to get this project going. He used the car for a commuter and rode in it by himself everyday. It has been babied. Non-stock items: wheels, radio, window tint.
So far I have a new drivers window regulator to install (window doesnt go up correctly) and I got these at the local picknpull off a 95 Integra:
All the rear dics are still on the Integra so I plan to go get them next. I understand that the front brackets need to be milled. And, no, I do not plan to use the old rotors. Just got them with the deal.
Other plans are to mildly lower (suggestions? I want to keep a decent ride quality). Black replacement hood (mine has a couple dents), paint front bumper (scuffs), beadblast wheels, new tires, finish brake upgrades). I would like engine upgrades, but need to learn more about this platform. Also, don't want to mess up the fuel mileage too much.. Also, I am building my own hot rod muffler....stay tuned.

if you plan on goin slightly low while still keep a bit of ride quality, get springs instead of coilovers, springs ride smoother than coilovers everyone says

Tien s tech springs will lower it a couple inches, yet retain the stock comfort and ride quality and are designed for oem shocks...

OK, so trial fitted the fronts and this caliper bracket is not going to work, even with miling. It will not reach in close enough with this size rotor. To be clear, the brackets are not marked 23t. One has a 24 (no t) and one has a 19 (no t). Back to the drawing board. I could go back and get the Integra knuckles. I was hoping to keep my knuckles....
I did get the rear assembly from the Integra today. Trailing arm and all. Anyone know if this trailing arm will bolt into the Civic? The rubber bushings will need to be replaced either way. Mine are bad, and the donor trailing arm rubber bushings are also bad...

Nice, I just got my first Honda and it happens to be a 95 Hatch as well. Good luck with the build it looks like a great starting point.

I was thinking of beadblast and/or paint the wheels. They are 14's. I'm not even sure they will fit over big brakes. The tires are dry rotted. The car only got driven a few days a week and the tires are old.
Went back the junk yard and got the e-brake cables, the lower control arms and swaybar all off the Integra. Anyone done this swap before? I have no idea if the swaybar will work. I also eyeballed alot of civics and Integras for prop valves and etc. I got the 1" M/C off the Integra that my brakes came off, but I don't know if I will use it. I was looking for a 15/16" but none there.

Prolly a good idea, looks like they are covered in brake dust. I hear the integra stuff fits right on civics without a fuss as far as front end goes. It'd be worth waiting for some more experienced input.
