95 ex, voltage problem
is there a way to tell weather my alternator is bad, or if its my voltage regulator? and where is the voltage regulator located? the battery checks at 12v with and without the engine running. and the voltage reads 12v at the alternator with and without the engine running. so u assume its not a bad cable. the belts not slipping. so im pretty sure it ahs to be one of those two things. the car is a 95 civic ex, d16z6.

Re: 95 ex, voltage problem (DCSportEJ1Civic)
The regulator is inside the alternator.
Be sure that the ALT light goes ON when you turn ignition switch to "on" , if not fuse 24 (15A) or connections to alt.
Sounds like you have 12v at the alt, recheck connections and try another alt.
good luck!
