Okay so i bought a 94 civic ex d16z6. it ran fine when i drove it home.

I decided to do some maintaince on it.

Changed:
Motor oil
Tranny oil
Distributer O ring
Vtec solenoid rubber gasket
Flushed coolent


I started it up and now it has idle problem, sounds like a lawn motor, loss of power, smells like gas and feels like its running on 3 cylinders.
The car idle stumbles and stalls out when i turn on the A/C.
I noticed slight motor oil on the spark plug in cylinder #4.


So i cleaned out the IAVC, FITV, new PCV valve, adjusted the idle mixture, adjusted the ignition timing and changed the spark plugs.

The car idles a bit better, i can turn on the heater blower, but the A/C still stalls out the car.

I just ordered some NGK spark plugs, cap and rotor, fuel filter.

Can you guys give me some advice???

Did you adjust the timing with a timing light?

new valve cover gasket and plug wires any CEL and did you jump the 2 pin connector under the dash on ps ? and air traped in coolant system can screw with your idle and A/F ratio (ect sensor)

no cels, i bled the coolant and same thing. could the valve cover gasket cause this?

To bleed out the coolant just take the radiator cap off and let your car run for a bit. let it go through a fan cylce or two. You will see air bubbles eventually.

radiator cap is easiest to bleed coolent, but there is a 8mm bleeding nipple on upper radiator hose where it connects to the block u can use if ur **** about every bubble, u can lose that up, and there will be alot bubbles pumping out.

hahah im retarded. i had the spark plug wires switched backwards. so i was running on 2 cylinders. thanks for the help tho!
