Default idling problem on 95 ex

yo, i got a 95 ex, d16y6, the motor idles kind of rough, like its about to bog out or something, its like it idle's too low and its gonna stall but my rpm guage seems to idle normal, i was wondering what the case may be. i changed my oil and spark plugs hoping it would go away but it hasn't so now i need to know whats really wrong w/ it. could it be a sensor? let me know, thanks in advance

could also be fucked up

jk

clean out the TB/IM

change the spark plug wires, dizy cap, rotor button

for plug wires, use NKG Blues

This 95 ex and this d16y6.

Was this a swap? Is this a totally stock Y6 being controlled by a P28?

can you narrow that down a little? is there specific symptoms i should look for to reduce the amount of problems it could be. i mean, i dont want to dump over a bill on my car on the things you listed and i coulda just bought, lets say plug wires. bottom line is im low on funds.

no swap, this is a stock ex motor w/ the original p28

Does it do it only cold or hot? or is it both. It might be your O2 sensor. Just a thought mine was doing that to me on my 95dx. I could be your idle air control. ITs hooked to the other side of of your tb towards the firewall. Give a few light taps with something metal next time you have it running and see if it helps.

How many miles on the motor? How is the general health of your motor?

When was the last time you did a general tune-up including cap/rotor/plugs/wires? How are your air filter and fuel filter? What about the PCV valve? Checked timing lately....any codes being thrown?

And a 95 Ex came with a D16Z6, not a Y6.
