95 del sol stock, failed emissions high co level
Failed emissions for co's, everything else passed. My number was 285, and the limit is 175 in maryland. THe guy said the car is running rich. I recently just changed the motor, and stayed with the stock d15b7. all new basic tune up thing were done. NO CEL's. Im thinking fuel regulator, o2 sensor or mass airflow sensor? What do you guys think?

Im sorry, I wrote the wrong thing. It is not failing due to a high CO level, its failing due to a high HC level. 285 is what it was at, limit is 175. I just got 355 miles on 10.8 gallons of gas, so thats about 33mpg, so its not running THAT rich, if at all....NO CELs

new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil
the timing is correct, and the cat passed the test at the emissions station.
the car does have a small exhaust leak, as it is a bit loud.

I have the same car/engine with automatic and get 37 mpg. Always pass smog.
Could the exhaust leak be letting outside air onto an O2 sensor? Is it pre-cat?
Are your plugs gapped to spec? Are they regular NGK ZFR5F-11?
