What is Code 9? Can you give more specs than what you already have?

code 9 - CYP - cylinder sensor

driving fine and good mileage on gas, don't know why the CEL is still on i have reset for couples times, but it still there..

Since I know that you can't possibly be the first person to ever have this problem I did a search and one of the threads I found was this one. There were many others of course.

I guess you're not going to search any on your own.

I have search for a while now like everyone said just need a new distrubitor. I disconnected the battery for couples hours, but the CEL come on like 5 minutes after the car started

Some threads also said that it could also be a simple wiring issue. Did you check that? Probably not.

not that i just plug the new one and clean the old wire harness. I will check it now

My distrubitor was aftermarket so there are 2 wires orange and white was switch place so I cut it and tape it. Test dive for 2 day. It run fun, but the code 9 it still there. question is do I have to get the OEM distubitor to fix the code.... please help

Did you solder and shrink wrap the spliced CYP sensor wires? And yes, OEM is the best way to go for distributors.
