Quick Question. 95 Sol 1.5 AUTO, CEL: 19(Tranny Solenoid Lockup)
SO I just installed a new engine in my girls del sol, only code being thrown is 19.(Was not throwing this code with the old bad motor before, literally the day before the swap). For whatever reason it is throwing the code now, car will not engage overdrive on the highway.
I took the part off one of my other civics(a car that does not throw this cel) into the del sol, and the delsol is still throwing the code. I removed the 7.5 backup fuse, and 15A ecu fuse, and disconnected the Neg terminal. Still throwing the code.
Whats even more annoying, is the part that was originally on the del sol, is not throwing the code on my other civic. WTF?
What gives? Am I reseting the ECU correctly?

This is theonly part that would throw that code 19 correct?

Chances are you've got an issue with the harness somewhere, perhaps it got damaged when the engine was installed? Check for an open or short in the wires between the solenoids and the ECU plugs.

If there is a short in the wire coming from the solenoid, to the ecu, running a new wire would be the only want to fix that correct? Would be the yellow wire correct?

I guess that is a possibility, however we were very cautious when dropping the motor, and reinstalling it. No wires tugged and pulled.
