'95 Coupe: 'Thud' when downshifting
I have a '95 coupe which is pretty much stock.
Lately I've been noticing when I downshift there's a 'thud'. Hard to say where it's coming from exactly; I assume it's the drivetrain someplace. The thud is repeatable so it's not like a once in a while thing.
It usually only occurs when I heavy downshift (using the transmission to scrub speed). It doesn't happen if I casually downshift like rolling up to a stop sign.
I can't tell if it's a transmission mount, motor mount, or something more mechanical like the tranny itself. It doesn't appear to be coming from the transaxle as the 'thud' feels more like its under the seat. But again I dont know.
Any thoughts?
