Icon5 95 Civic misfire or chug at driving speed.

My Civic has 80k on it when I'm idle it's ok when I give it gas its ok but when I'm maintaining a speed it's missing or chugging extremely bad like it's almost stalling.. I've gone through all the forums and did every suggestion I could find and nothing has worked. I've replaced the timing belt, the fuel pump, the map sensor the TPS (and calibrated it), plugs, wires, fuel filter, IACV, distributor, checked the timing, and probably more. It also burns a crazy amount of oil idk if it's related. Did a compression test it was fine, I'm changing the pcv today because there's oil in my intake. I'm open to any suggestions... It's defeating me..

Does it have a check engine light? 5-speed? Tried swapping ECU's? Or maybe just take the cover off your ECU and inspect the board. Do you have access to a obd2 scanner that gives live data? Try to unplug the front o2 sensor and see if that changes anything.

**** I didn't notice it said it was a 95 in the title....but you said it's obd0? Do you mean obd1?

I would try unplugging the front o2 sensor and see if it changes anything, or just replace it they don't cost much.

Unplugging the O2 sensor makes it stay in the rich-running "open loop" mode. The CEL should come on with various O2 codes. If the CEL doesn't come on with a sensor unplugged, the bulb is likely removed or burnt out.

I unplugged it. It did the same thing it's been doing just worse... Does that mean it's going bad? I'll just replace it anyway

Did the CEL come on?

Don't replace anything just yet.

Was the motor warmed up when you did it? I was hoping it would force it to run in open loop with it unplugged. Do you happen to have access to a scope so you can see what the o2 Sensor is doing. A dvom won't really work because it's too slow and will just give an average.

Does it run any different when the motor is fully cold?
