95' civic ignition problem
i own a 95 ej1 just recently the key ignition cylinder whatever its called anyway well i put the key in the other day and i turned it on let go of the key and it turned off, So i tried it again this i held the key in the on position and it stayed on but as soon i let go off the key is turned off so i know that its gotta do with something in the ignition. So i bought a new one i just have no clue how to install it.
could you guys help me out?

You take out the screws holding the plastic covers onto the steering column. You drill off the heads of the shear head bolts holding the lock cylinder on using, I believe a 3/16 bit. Use a punch to make a dimple in the center of the screw head first. Install the new one and hand tighten the bolts. Put the key in and make sure everything works properly. Use a wrench to tighten the new bolts until their heads break off.
