I have a 95 civic 2coupe 5spd 1.5vtec and I need advice with how to put the head back on. I just had it rebuild and I need advice on how to line up the distributor with the head and the camshaft or crankshaft which ever it is or something like that I know that I have to torque the head in and tdc center the blok or something like that I just need help!!!

Google timing marks for the belt and procedure, then the distributor will only go on one way (offset drive is hard to notice) and follow the firing order after you establish TDC on #1 durring compression.
A book would help bunches ($25 parts store).

Maybe you should get someone to help you man...the book is pretty self explanatory. Its hard to help though with the way you write.

I tried doing it myself. This is what I can do.. I know when I torque down the head next I have to bolt in the intake and then the exhuast and then finally I have to spin then the thing to get it to tdc? What makes it tdc like the to cylinders on the outside up or the two middle ones up?

Ok, What is your set-up? Is it a d15b or z6 head etc? Once you have your timing marks lined up at tdc make sure the rotor inside the distributor is pointing at #1 cylinder.

Follow your book you have to torque down the head in sequence, once you have all that then get the timing correct. when that is all done and good to go then put everything else back on.

OP, make sure you torque the head down correctly and take your time, this has been done MANY times and plenty of info online to answer questions. Follow your procedures in the Haynes or Chilton book you have.

I would have to agree,or have some one who knows what there doing show you step by step so you'll learn. Last thing you wanna do is mess up a head u just got back from the machine because of timing or some thing else was wrong.
