95 Civic/D16Z6 swap - tach does not read RPM
Hey HT, I recently bought another hatchback since my sister drove into my old one. Its a 95 cx hatch, with a d16z6 swap in it. The guy I bought it from said the RPM doesn't ready because when she changed the dizzy, the fuse for the RPM blew to. Do you guys know where that particular fuze is? I've looked up the diagrams on The FAQ page (https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/faqs-frequently-asked-tech-questions-1998336/) props to the member who posted that page up I couldn't find it under the diagrams there. So Im wondering if i need to replace the cluster or take it out to access the fuse. please help me out Thanks!

How do I remove the rotor screw in the distributor?
Hey guys I'm trying to take a look at the ignition module in my dizzy on a d16z6. I took of the spark wires and plugs. However thethis rotor as seen in the pic that's suppose to be face out so the screw shows so I can take it off. How can I tun it with out putting everything back and starting the car on a give a shot chance. Also I'm doing this because my rpm isnt reading on my cluster, and people on honda tech told me to check if a bue wire is connected. If possible help me through this and post pics as to which specific wire. Thanks ht

Re: distributor help
Crank the car buy turning the key, it wont start because you have the plugs an wires out but it will turn the rotor. Or crank the motor by hand with a 19mm on the crankshaft bolt.

RPM problem continued
Hey HT, I followed up from the advice given from my previous post. I dismantled my distributor to find out where the 'blue wire' connects to the ignition module. The reason I'm doing this is because my RPM gauge isn't reading on my cluster. Motor is a D16Z6, and the previous owner said he blew a fuse when changing the dizzy. HT members said there wasn't a fuse and advised me to look if the blue wire was attached. I took apart the dizzy and i saw a blu/blk wire with a black wire, so I'm not sure if thats the blue wire.
If possible please help as to where the blue wire is, and where its suppose to hook up to.

A blue wire attaches to the igniter unit. That's where the rpm signal comes from. Have you located it? Start there. Post a picture.
