Default 94civic with omni drags

I recently bought my buddy's old turbo civic that's now a stock d16 with omni drag coilovers on it. I just daily drive it and want to auto cross it but the omni drags are far to stiff for daily use. My spine will be nonexistent here soon. My question is can I buy a lower spring that I can replace the drag springs with. I know you can buy the street springs but iv yet to be able to find just the 8k and 10k springs for sale. Thoughts?

Did you check the manufacturers website? I'm curious if that's the place that you only found 8/10k springs. Now are the 10ks in the front of rear? If the rear you might want to swap them around.

The 10ks are the street ones and the would go in the rear, I have the drags so it's 12k in the front 18k in the rear

Also omni power isn't around anymore so you can only get the coilovers from other websites. I can't even find just springs. I'd love to find someone who has the street springs and trade them

True. Your best bet then is to find maybe some loose springs off of a Ground Control (Eibach) or Progress kit with the rates you prefer.

Find the size of the spring. Order a spring from any given manufacturer in the rates you want. You'll have to turn the ***** on the damper to match the new spring. Good luck getting those ***** right on an Omni.

I, for example, am using H&R's 680/576LB springs on my S2000's KW V3's. They're a 2.5 ID spring at...some length that I forget.

Find the ID and length. Buy a set of springs. H&R, eibach, swift, Hyperco, GC, etc. Are examples of spring companies that sell loose springs in given dimensions.

get in touch with eibach....custom springs run about $50-$75/each ....so $250-300 shipped will get you whatever rates you want....8k/10k is still fairly stiff for a daily, those sound like nice auto-x/road race specs....

a 10k/8k is roughly 550/450 a koni/gc setup comes 350/350 for a balance between street and track

I think im going to go like 14k/12k on my track ****...that's stiff as **** and a 75% or more track use and a bit of street driving

What chassis and other mods? Why not 12k/14k? Seems to make more sense that way around.

95 hatch, built d-series with a hx35...street/drag/auto-x and road racing

current coilovers are k-sport

my parts guy had a teg with k-sports and went through a couple different sets before he set on a f-14k/r-12k custom eibachs. he used that for some time before upgrading to a full on race coilover. he said they worked very well and personally preferred them over custom koni/gc. im more focused on road racing than anything. but the stock ksport rates suck badly, so anything is better

I hurrd dat. I always like rear biased rates (FWD cars) for road course setup. You can always flip the springs depending on what you find, I guess.
