Re: '94 Honda Civic Passenger Air Bag (BuckHijo)
It's a piece of cake. I have taken the air bags out of a '94 del sol and a '98 Prelude with no problems whatsoever. Disconnect the negative battery cable (black, of course). Then remove the glove box. Take the bolts (10mm?) out of the hinges, then lift the glove box box up so that it will clear the brackets that keep it from falling all the way open. You may need to unscrew the little "L" brackets if you can't get it to fold all the way to the floor. Next you will need to unscrew the plastic "shock" that lets it open slowly from the side of the glove compartment. You should have the glove compartment out at this point. Look for a yellow wire and connector plugged into the airbag and unplug it. There will be approximately 4-6 nuts (10mm?) that keep the airbag secured to two metal brackets. Unscrew all of those and the airbag should lift right out of the dash. The easist way to do it is to just jump right in and look at what is holding everything in place. You should be able to do all of this with a 10mm socket and a screwdriver. Good luck, my friend. PM me if you have any problems, I would be glad to help you out.
