Default 94 EX Clutch Problem!

What's up guys?

The other day I was rolling through the ATM and lost all clutch, straight to the floor... no gear the whole 9. I finally got the system bled out and it was fine for a few days, the next day was the same deal, loose pedal and no gear selection. Anyways a little while ago my brother and I bled the system again and few bubbles came into the bottle, but still feels like it's about to do the same ****.

Any ideas on maybe the slave? t/o bearing? lines? I've traced the line a few times and can't seem to find any moisture. idk guys. Help will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Smitty

I haven't yet... I leave the lid off while bleeding, and when the clutch is depressed the fluid level moves. Upon some research I found that that should eliminate the master, but the slave and master are together right? Where the fluid resevoir is?

Huh? Together as in the same location in the engine bay? Where you're bleeding is the slave. The master has the reservoir attached to it.

I'm confused as to what it could be, The master is holding the fluid, and it doesn't seem to be leaking. I've had to bleed it out a few times to get to work and all that, but don't want to drive it until I get this figured out.

Replace the slave cylinder. Should be less than $20 at an auto parts store.

I priced one at AZ, $16.99 which is cheap... I know that no one can be sure until we see, what are the symptoms of a bad s/c?

When it fails you can only shift into gears when the car is not running. Before it fails you kinda get what you're describing. Soft clutch pedal.

When I bleed the system it's cool for a few miles, then no go. s/c sound like the culprit? Somehow air is getting into the system. Sorry bro just thinking outloud lol Thanks for the help... I'll see what I can do

Check under the dash near the clutch pedal area. The master cylinder might be leaking through the firewall, under the dash, and under your carpet.

I wouldn't just replace the slave cylinder; do both the slave and master.

seals may be bad for the master cylinder

just because it can force fluid through the slave when bleeding doesnt mean its good

the seals may not work under the tremendous pressure of the clutch
