i got a 1994 cx with the d15b8 and the exhaust manifold has the cat in it and its cracked. i was curious if its possible to buy just another d series exhaust manifold without the cat and buy a separate cat that i can bolt in and still pass smog.

Depends on your local laws. For what it's worth I did exactly that on the same engine and passed California smog without issue.
