94 civic ignition ?
when i turn key to start, the car starts, but when the key returns to on, it die instantly.
I have to hold the key to start in order for it to stay running. if not the car die instantly.
Can this be my ignition switch or something to do with my ignition?

Re: 94 civic ignition ?
It could be a bad switch but first check and see if there are any loose connections at the alternator or distributor. That would cause it to die pretty quickly, could also be a vacuum leak at the gasket between the throttle body and inake manifold.

Re: 94 civic ignition ?
i looked for loose connection under the fuse box, alternator and distributor and no loose connection. Finally i got it to start by touching the ignition switch wires(black one) and it running right now. But don't know if it will ocur again. i just wiggle the black wires and it start right up even when the key returns to on.
