Default 94 civic cx/B18B1 swap - code 41 after new O2 sensor

long story short-
there wasn't anywhere wired for an O2 sensor on my B18B1 swap in my 94 civic cx. so i looked up the pin out and i wired it in a bosch 4 wire oxygen sensor myself

does it matter on the sensor which heater wires go to which in the ecu?

and could it be because my sensor screws in to the end of the header right before the cat?

those are my only two ideas, i'm stuck now

Cool beans

does it matter on the sensor which heater wires go to which in the ecu?

yes it does, as if its wrong you might have it mixed with the signal wire, or who knows, it is OBD1 so something is wired incorrectly to have the MIL illuminated.

No

those are my only two ideas, i'm stuck now

Dont do that, instead.......
determine what the 4 wires from the sensor are,
determine where the location at the harness these wires go to.
wire it up.
dont just guess and start swapping wires and stuff or you can ruin conponments.
Its just good practice for your future also!

GL duder!

well the directions that come with the sensor don't say that it matters.

Does the heater element get a battery voltage with the key in ON(II)?

You didn't post any voltage readings.

what model of bosch sensor? just because it's a bosch o2 sensor doesn't mean it's going to work, find a good working sensor, hook it up and re test, also give us a reading of the resistance across the two heater leads on the o2 sensor
