93 hatch with b16 tech question
So I have been trying to do some research on my motor setup (was in the car when I purchased it) and I could use a little help on figuring out if it is setup properly or not.
Ok on to the info.
Its a 93 dx hatch
b16 lsd transmission
b16a swap (now here's part of my confusion) my block serial number starts with 12 meaning its a 1.2 million series found in the 92 XSi and RSi. <<< got that info from here>> http://www.automotiveforums.com/t166...otting___.html
but looking on here>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_B_engine it says that the first gen should be running a P-fk1 or PW0 ecu. Which would mean my motor is an obd-0.
However, I am running a P-30 ecu in my car which is a obd-1. Is this what I should be running?
Also my build year stamp on my head is 91 (which is obd-0 I believe)
is there anything else that I could look at on my engine to see if I have the right stuff on this engine?

post some pictures of the engine and intake for us. you have an obd1 car it should all be OBd1 . . . hence the obd1 ecu. the transmission must be hydraulic. its right for your car. older is cable tranny. . .

Also. if your head is stamped 91. . . check the month . . .I believe they start producing engines for the following year half was through the previous year . . . you could have a 92 engine . . but it was probably made in june or July of 91 . .

That's jokes . . .how do they stamp it a year after it was sold . . . come now . .. it it was stamped 91 it was either a late 91 model or it was made late in the year for the 92 model year kind of a huge difference, that was a generational change . . . . motors for 92 would of been made late 91 . . .if they were for 93 they could of been made all 92 long . . . 91/91 was a generation change . . . . use google its gotta be nearly common sense.

oh ya and the axles that I have to run are 93 integra axles. The ones with both male ends on the driver side. the 94's did not work.

The head stamp will only tell you when the head was cast not when the motor was made. I have seen 94 year marked heads on 99-00 Si and on ITR motors. Honda probably had a bunch of B16 heads stocked up and used them as they needed them. My head is marked 90 or 89 but I was told when I bought it that is came off a JDM SirII motor so that would be a 92-95 motor.

Re: 93 hatch with b16 tech question
ok so I got some numbers to the best of my ability.
circle stamp markings on the head: 91-4-8-90, and PR3
Distributor: TD-680, and 3705 (only numbers I could find stamped on it.)
Intake mani: P73, and HF-1
ECU: P30-001, and 211133 (part of sticker looks rubbed off)

Re: 93 hatch with b16 tech question
ok so far I have found out that the intake mani is an ITR mani. also got a hold of the guy I got the car from and he said it has itr cams in it also.
However I am running a stock unmodded p30 ecu and so I am wanting to find out if I should get a chipped ecu or not. I live in an area where getting dyno's and tuning from a shop is kinda non existant unless I drive 4 1/2 hours one way lol. and anyone with a b16 trans knows that long at those high rpms is not fun haha.
